photo Konstantinos Anagnostopoulos is an Associate Professor working on problems in superstring theory, matrix models, monte carlo simulations in string theory and quantum gravity and the problem of monte carlo simulation of systems with a complex action. He got his Ph.D. from Syracuse University in 1993, held postdoc positions at the University of Florida, Gainesville and the Niels Bohr Institute. He held a visiting associate professor position at the University of Crete. He joined our group in 2004. (email, homepage, publications).
photo Ioannis Bakas   deceased has been a Professor in our group from 2010 until he passed away on August 30, 2016. Ioannis (Giannis) was an outstanding mathematical physicist, a great academic teacher and a real gentleman and generous person. His scientific work and presence honored the Greek scientific community and we have all been devastated by his sudden loss. He was working on a wide range of problems in mathematical physics, quantum field theory, string theory and quantum gravity. He got his Ph.D. from Imperial College in 1985, held postdoc positions at the Universities of Utah, Texas Austin, Maryland College Park, Institute for Advanced Study Princeton, and CERN. He was elected a professor at the Physics Department of the University of Patras in 1995 and he joined our group in 2010. (email, homepage, publications).
photo Ioannis Dalianis is a Postoctoral Associate working on high energy physics and cosmology. He got his Ph.D. from the University of Warsaw in 2012 and he joined our group in 2013. He has been an IKY postdoctoral fellow since 2017. (email, homepage, publications).


photo Konstantinos Farakos is a Professor working on problems in lattice gauge theories and 5D quantum field theories. He got his Ph.D. from the National Technical University of Athens in 1987 and he held research positions in CERN, the Niels Bohr Institute, the University of Cyprus and the NTUA. photo Nikos Irges is an Associate Professor working on problems in quantum field theory in four and higher dimensions, lattice gauge theories and applications of holography. He got his Ph.D. from the University of Florida in 1999, Gainesville and he held postdoctoral positions at the University of Colorado Boulder, IEM/CSIC Madrid, University of Crete and University of Wuppertal. photo Alex Kehagias is a Professor working on problems in supergravity, cosmology and superstring theory. He got his Ph.D. from the University of Ioannina in 1991 and he held postdc positions at CERN, ITP of the University of Nijmegen, U. Munich, NCSR Demokritos and the NTUA. He joined our group in 2002. photo George Koutsoumbas is a Professor working on problems in gravity, cosmology and lattice gauge theories. He got his Ph.D. from the National Technical University of Athens in 1987 and he held a reseaarch position in DESY, Hamburg. He has been a member of the faculty of NTUA since 1988. photo Dimitrios Metaxas belongs to the Teaching Staff of the Physics Department working on problems of quantum field theory in flat and curved space-time. He got his Ph.D. from Columbia University in 1998 and did postdoctoral work at New School University in New York. He has been a member of our group since 2017. (email, homepage, publications).

photo Pantelis Manousselis belongs to the Teaching Staff of the Physics Department working on supersymmetry breaking, dimensional reduction, flux compactifications and noncommutative geometry. He got his Ph.D. from the National Technical University of Athens in 2004 and held postdoctoral positions at the University of Patras and the NTUA. He joined our group in 2018. photo Eleftherios Papantonopoulos is a Professor Emeritus working on problems in gravity, cosmology, supergravity and phenomenology. He got his Ph.D. from the University of St. Andrews in 1980 and held postdoctoral positions at CERN, Ecole Polytechnique Paris, the Universities of Athens and Munich. photo Emmanuel Saridakis is a Visiting Assistant Professor working on problems in modified theories of gravity and cosmology. He got his Ph.D. from the University of Athens in 2006 and held postdoctoral positions at the U. of Athens, IPTh Saclay, National Tsing Hua U. Hsinchu, Institut d' Astrophysique de Paris and the NTUA. He held Adjunct Professor positions at the Pontifica Universidad Catolica Valparaiso, Baylor U. and the National Tsing Hua U. Hsinchu. photo Nicholas Tracas is a Professor working on problems in beyond the standard model and string phenomenology, finite unified theories, supersymmetry and supergravity. He got his Ph.D. from the University of Sussex in 1980 and held postdoctoral positions at CERN and the University of Athens. He has been a member of the NTUA faculty since 1982. photo George Zoupanos is a Professor Emeritus working on problems in noncommutative quantum field theories and gravity, matrix models, finite unified theories, supergravity, superstring theory and dimensional reduction in higher dimensional gauge theories. He got his Ph.D. from the University of Glasgow in 1978 and held postdoctoral positions at Dortmund U., the LMU Munich, CERN and the MPI Munich. He held research and visiting professor positions at the MPI Munich, CERN, Humboldt U., Kanazawa U., LMU Munich, LAPTh Annecy, AEI-MPI Golm-Berlin, IFT Madrid and Heidelberg U.
