photo Konstantinos Anagnostopoulos is an Associate Professor working on problems in superstring theory, matrix models, monte carlo simulations in string theory and quantum gravity and the problem of monte carlo simulation of systems with a complex action. He got his Ph.D. from Syracuse University in 1993, held postdoc positions at the University of Florida, Gainesville and the Niels Bohr Institute. photo Ioannis Dalianis is a Postoctoral Associate working on high energy physics and cosmology. He got his Ph.D. from the University of Warsaw in 2012 and he joined our group in 2013. He has been an IKY postdoctoral fellow since 2017. (email, homepage, publications).


photo Konstantinos Farakos is a Professor working on problems in lattice gauge theories and 5D quantum field theories. He got his Ph.D. from the National Technical University of Athens in 1987 and he held research positions in CERN, the Niels Bohr Institute, the University of Cyprus and the NTUA. photo Nikos Irges is a Professor working on problems in quantum field theory in four and higher dimensions, lattice gauge theories and applications of holography. He got his Ph.D. from the University of Florida in 1999, Gainesville and he held postdoctoral positions at the University of Colorado Boulder, IEM/CSIC Madrid, University of Crete and University of Wuppertal. photo Alex Kehagias is a Professor working on problems in supergravity, cosmology and superstring theory. He got his Ph.D. from the University of Ioannina in 1991 and he held postdc positions at CERN, ITP of the University of Nijmegen, U. Munich, NCSR Demokritos and the NTUA. He joined our group in 2002. photo George Koutsoumbas is a Professor working on problems in gravity, cosmology and lattice gauge theories. He got his Ph.D. from the National Technical University of Athens in 1987 and he held a reseaarch position in DESY, Hamburg. He has been a member of the faculty of the NTUA since 1988. photo Chris Kouvaris is a Professor working on astroparticle physics and cosmology with emphasis on the puzzle of dark matter. He got his PhD from MIT in 2005. He was a Marie Curie Fellow at the Niels Bohr Institute (and partially at CERN), and held a postdoc position at the Universite Libre de Bruxelles before getting a faculty position at CP3-Origins Centre of Particle Physics and Cosmology at the University of Southern Denmark. photo Konstantinos Kyritsis belongs to the Teaching Staff of the Physics Department working on problems of string theory and quantum theories of gravity. He got his Ph.D. from Durham University in 2005. He has been a member of our group since 2020. (email, homepage, publications).


photo Nikolaos Mavromatos is a Professor working on Astroparticle Physics, String and Quantum-gravity phenomenology, cosmology (dark sector of the Universe) and modified gravity, including modeling and cosmic tests of potential Lorentz and/or CPT Violation in modified geometries of the early Universe and its relation to Dark Matter and matter-antimatter asymmetry in the Universe. He is also involved in quantum field theoretic studies of magnetic monopoles, black holes, logarithmic conformal field theories, as well as interdisciplinary topics between particle physics and condensed matter (gauge field theories of planar high temperature superconductors). Currently he is also the physics coordinator of the MoEDAL-LHC experiment (CERN), a post he holds since 2011. He has obtained his BSc in Physics from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (School of Physics and Mathematics) in 1983, and his Ph D (D Phil) from Oxford University (UK) in 1987. He has been postdoctoral fellow in Oxford (Theoretical Physics Department), CERN - Theory Division fellow, Marie Curie Fellow in LAPP-Annecy (France), PPARC Advanced Fellow in Oxford (Theoretical Physics Department), before joining the faculty at King's College London, Physics Department in 2001, where he has been a professor of Theoretical Physics since 2006. photo Dimitrios Metaxas belongs to the Teaching Staff of the Physics Department working on problems of quantum field theory in flat and curved space-time. He got his Ph.D. from Columbia University in 1998 and did postdoctoral work at New School University in New York. He has been a member of our group since 2017. (email, homepage, publications).

photo Pantelis Manousselis belongs to the Teaching Staff of the Physics Department working on supersymmetry breaking, dimensional reduction, flux compactifications and noncommutative geometry. He got his Ph.D. from the National Technical University of Athens in 2004 and held postdoctoral positions at the University of Patras and the NTUA. He joined our group in 2018. photo George Manolakos is a Postdoctoral Associate working on the gauge-theoretic approach of gravitational models on noncommutative spaces and also on particle physics models originating from higher-dimensional supersymmetric Yang-Mills theories. photo Eleftherios Papantonopoulos is a Professor Emeritus working on problems in gravity, cosmology, supergravity and phenomenology. He got his Ph.D. from the University of St. Andrews in 1980 and held postdoctoral positions at CERN, Ecole Polytechnique Paris, the Universities of Athens and Munich. photo Gregory Patellis is a Postdoctoral Associate working on supersymmetric theories that result from the coset space dimensional reduction framework and also on finite unified theories that use the reduction of couplings method and their respective phenomenology. photo Nicholas Tracas is a Professor Emeritus working on problems in beyond the standard model and string phenomenology, finite unified theories, supersymmetry and supergravity. He got his Ph.D. from the University of Sussex in 1980 and held postdoctoral positions at CERN and the University of Athens. He is also involved in outreach activities addressing high school students and teachers as well as general public. He is the creator and administrator of the Greek outreach website. photo George Zoupanos is a Professor Emeritus working on problems in noncommutative quantum field theories and gravity, matrix models, finite unified theories, supergravity, superstring theory and dimensional reduction in higher dimensional gauge theories. He got his Ph.D. from the University of Glasgow in 1978 and held postdoctoral positions at Dortmund U., the LMU Munich, CERN and the MPI Munich. He held research and visiting professor positions at the MPI Munich, CERN, Humboldt U., Kanazawa U., LMU Munich, LAPTh Annecy, AEI-MPI Golm-Berlin, IFT Madrid and Heidelberg U.
